Last week we gave an account of the sad accident happening to Miss Ethel Lumpkins the 18 year old daughter of Sam Lumpkins of Pleasant Point, on Monday morning two weeks ago when a lamp exploded while she was holding it over a hot stove cooking breakfast and burned her very seriously. She died as a result of the burn on Wednesday of last week and was buried at Fullers Chapel on Thursday. She was a sweet lovable girl and the sad accident and her death came as a severe shock to the whole community.
