We have been invited by friends and family of Robert Earl Weston Sr. to accompany him to BNC and stand lines of respect at the ceremony shelter near his final resting place. We're honored to do so.
Robert Earl Weston Sr. joined the USMC on January 25,1968 to January 23, 1970 was transferred to reserve and stayed on until January 24,1974, Attaining the rank of Lieutenant, but was dropped back down to Private.
Robert served in the Vietnam war and was a POW. He was awarded a Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal (1960), Vietnam Service Medal W/Bronze Star, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/ Palm, Rifle Sharpshooter Badge, Combat Action Ribbon. Robert Earl Weston Sr. was confirmed exposed to Agent Orange which could have caused the cancer that killed him. He was 100% service connected disabled.
Robert Earl Weston was a general laborer and jack of all trades until he retired in 1998. He was widowed in January of 2000, and he leaves behind a daughter, and two granddaughters whom he loved very much and took care of him for the last 7.5 years.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero from the Joshua Memorial Park to his final resting place at BNC. Please see the timetable if you would like to participate.
