John A. Maury is the son of Thomas Francis Maury and Ada Richard Jenkins (born in Virginia). Dr. Conger and R. R. " Dick" Maury signed the Death Certificate. John died on 4 May 1919 and was buried on the same day on the Maury Home place. John never married.
The Maury family lived beside us on the Whitfield/Yankie home place and were like family. I guess I thought they were until I was grown. They were wonderful neighbors and we did indeed love them like family. I remember the later ones and loved visiting them. (Information provided by Nancy Yankie).
