MRS. T. S. BOOTH PASSED AWAY YESTERDAY

AN ESTIMABLE WOMAN DIED TUESDAY EVENING AFTER LINGERING ILLNESS - THE CITY MOURNS HER DEATH.

Yesterday afternoon the citizens of this city were shocked at the announcement of the death of Mrs. Dr. T. S. Booth, which occurred at the family residence on West Main street at 5:15 o'clock, after a lingering illness.

Deceased had been an invalid for a number of years, but the end was unexpected by her immediate family and friends. The funeral services will be conducted from the family residence this afternoon at 3 o'clock by Rev. J. W. Burns of the First Christian church, with interment in Rose Hill cemetery. The pallbearers will be Doctors McNees, Hardy, Cox, Best, Boadway, and Conine.

Deceased is survived by her husband, two sons - J. E. and Otto, and one daughter, Bertha, of this city. Besides the above, relatives here to attend the funeral are Miss Katherine Booth of Paris, Texas, a niece of the deceased. Dr. W. E. Booth of Paris, Tex. could not come on account of sickness in his own family.

Emma Roland Booth was born at Mount Enterprise, Rusk county, Tex., September 26, 1859. She was married to Dr. T. S. Booth at that place and shortly afterward removed to this city which has been their home for 27 years. She was a devoted wife and mother, and the entire community mourns with the bereaved family over her loss. She was kind-hearted and generous. Her many acts of charity were known only to those who were beneficiaries of her bounty, as she practiced the Bible injunction to not let her left hand know what the right hand doeth. She will be missed in this community, and the beautiful floral offerings sent in by loving friends this morning attest the esteem in which she was held by all.

The ARDMOREITE, together with the entire citizenship of this city, extends sincere condolence to the bereaved family in their dark hour of sorrow.
