Alan was born in Dagenham, England on September 28, 1937 and was educated in England. He came to the US in 1968 and worked as a Mechanical Engineer all of his life until retirement, working for many area companies.
Alan spent several years teaching GED classes in Plymouth where he taught math and sciences through a program with Catholic Charites, he was member of the Philadelphia Pickwick club.
