Age 90, of Minneapolis, MN formerly of Verndale, MN passed away on April 23, 2016. Leona was born in Alexandria, Minnesota to Lafayette and Marie Felty on June 16th, 1925. She was a teacher at New York Mills, Minnesota Middle School 1959-1965; Northfield, Minnesota Middle School 1965-1971. Leona was a writer; artist, avid reader and gardener in Rosemount, Minnesota. She is preceded in death by her mother, Marie (Felty) Koepke; father, Lafayette Felty; son, Barry A. Morton; and, daughter-in-law Sharon Morton; brothers, Elmer Jay Felty and Edward Norman Felty.
