Stacy Blanche Freeman Cornelison, 94, of Asheboro, died Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Center Cross Baptist Church, with Rev. Grant Hoffman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Born on September 25, 1921 in Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Cornelison was the daughter of the late Neill Bailey Freeman and Ora Jane Richardson Freeman.

She was a homemaker and a member of Center Cross Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family, gardening and cooking.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cornelison was preceded in death by her husband, James Cornelison; son, Edward Cornelison; sisters, Annie Wilson, Mamie Hare, Lee Freeman, Nellie Beane, Conie King, Gladys McLeod, Mildred Chriscoe; brothers, Walter Freeman, Joe Freeman and Dempsey Freeman.

Surviving are her daughters, Carol Perdue (Clay), of Louisburg, Lynda Williams (David), of Asheboro, Pam Congleton (Tony), of Matthews, Rhonda Parker (Joseph), of Charlotte; daughter-in-law, Brenda Cornelison, of Star; "adopted" daughter, Rita Batchelor (George), of Raleigh; sister, Rachel Smith (Buster), of Asheboro; brother, Wesley Freeman (Nellie), of Asheboro; grandchildren, Randall Cornelison (Holly), Lee Cornelison (Priscilla), Amy Donahue (Jim), Christy Perdue, Cortney Holshouser (Karl), Anthony Cornelison, Lisa Hansen (Wayne), Natalie Williams, Aubrey Starr (Seth), Jimmy Congleton, Rebekah Weisgerber (Billy), Benjamin Parker; great-grandchildren, Kate Archer, Bud Archer (Marissa), Brandon Cornelison, Justin Cornelison, Heidi Cornelison, Emory Donahue, Lucas Starr, Lorelai Starr; and great-great grandchildren, Isabella and Kayleigh.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
