Here After Extended Illness
Barry Maxwell Adams, pioneer resident of Humboldt county, died Saturday evening at St. Joseph hospital following a long illness. Adams was born in Eureka 62 years ago and spent his entire life in this county. When he was one years of age his parents moved to Arcata where he resided until he was 27. He received his early education in Arcata schools.
When he was a young man he worked for the Bayside Lumber Company and for Bayer Nye, and A. Brizard department store. He was married to Miss Amanda Sammon, in 1893.
In 1902 he entered the employ of the H. H. Buhne Company and was associated with that concern until his death. He became president of the company on the death of H. H. Buhne several years ago.
He leaves to mourn his loss a wife, Mrs. Amada Adams, a daughter, Caroline Adams; and two sisters, Mrs. I. N. Minor and Mrs. M. B. Wible, both of Glendale, Humboldt county.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 o’clock from the Pierce funeral parlors with the Rev. Charles E. Farrar and the Rev. C. P. Hessel officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
