James B. Barnhill, Salant Caretaker,
Dies Early Sunday
James Byrd Barnhill, caretaker at Salant & Salant shirt factory here, died suddenly Sunday morning at the home of a nephew, William Barnhill, in the Pine Hill Community.
Mrs. Barnhill, had spent the night with his nephew, and suffered the sudden attack shortly after he got up Sunday morning. He was 65.
A member of the Mt. Zion Church of Christ, Mr. Barnhill had been a farmer most of his life. He never married, and is survived by twelve nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 2:30 at Shady Grove Church, with Brother Jack London officiating. Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery.
