Funeral services celebrating the life of Errol “Barkley” Roberts will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 21, 2016 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Brother David Guillott officiating. Burial will be in Big Creek Cemetery, Pollock.



The family requests that visitation be observed at Hixson Brothers, Pineville Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. and continued Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.



Mr. Roberts, 73, of Pollock, passed from this life on Monday, April 18, 2016 at his residence.



Mr. Roberts was a graduate of Dry Prong High School. He retired after 20 years from the Army National Guard and was a retired Civil Deputy for Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office. Barkley had a passion for life… he enjoyed several things drag racing (he was well known for rebuilding race car motors across the state), traveling, being outdoors, gardening and fishing. His family was his life support and most of all he enjoyed being around his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a Christian and loved Church and Sunday school.



He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janie Roberts; infant daughter, Mary D.E.; parents, Harry and Eva Sasser Roberts and brother “Cuz” Roberts.



Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Cindy Foster Roberts; son, Errol Roberts and wife, Crystal; daughters, Cheryl Roberts Welch and husband, Reggie, Christi Pritchard and husband, David and Jayme Lee and husband J.R.; brother, Winston Roberts and wife, Charlene; grandchildren, Molly Ivy, Waylon McKay, Austin Roberts, Diesel Roberts, Gracie Roberts, Claire Francis, Grayson, Ryan, Lauren and Seth Lee; great grandchildren, Mallie and Adalee Ivy, Kayndelyn and Kamdyn Roberts; a host of other family members and friends.



Pallbearers will be Waylon McKay, Johnny Roberts, Aaron Ivy, Eric Gentry, Timothy Montgomery and Nelson Corley.



Honorary pallbearers will be Diesel Roberts, Mackie Lacroix, Sonny Cox and Donald Ray Willet.



The family would like to thank HCOA, Dr. Perez, Dr. Hanley and Dr. Allie for all the care that they gave to Barkley.



The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18
