Shelby Pritchard Smith, 54, of Glen Daniel, passed away Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005.

Shelby was born Feb. 14, 1951, in Wyoming County, the daughter of Geraldine Hawkins Hayworth of Grandview, and the late Robert Hayworth.

Shelby loved doing crafts and shopping. She was listed in the Who’s Who of American Business Leaders. Shelby was the owner and operator of Shelby’s Tax Solutions and Bookkeeping in Glen Daniel for 12 years. She was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

Other than her father, Shelby was preceded in death by her prior husband, Roy Pritchard; and a sister, Patricia Pritchard.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Dale Smith; her children, Rosetta Smith and husband, Steven, of Charlotte, N.C., and Wayne Pritchard and wife, Tammy, of Beckley; grandchildren, Aaron Smith of Charlotte, Nicklaus Pritchard of Beckley, Emily Pritchard of Beckley and Zachary Pritchard of Beckley; brothers and sisters, Roger McDaniel, Rhobena McDaniel, Bobby Hayworth, Ronnie Hayworth and Jim Hayworth; and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley, with Pastor Bennie Kenney and the Rev. Steven Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.

Friends may gather with the family 11 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.

Donations of sympathy can be made to Sturgeon Branch Baptist Church, Rainelle, First Christian Church, Beckley, or Eastfield Christian Church, 11901 Eastfield Road, Huntersville, NC 28078.
