Born in Twin Falls, Idaho on June 12, 1932, the daughter of Sherman Thornton Wright and La Rue Brown.
Florence and Alfred G. Dye first met in California. They were married in 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple. She first lived in Texas as an Air Force officer's wife. She and her husband later moved to Holladay, where their family of six was raised.
Always active in the LDS Church, she served as teacher, Primary President, Relief Society Counselor, and Family History worker.
Her whole life was devoted to her family, never giving up on ensuring success and happiness for them all.
She is survived by her husband and children, Marc (Michelle), Jeannie, Carol (Paul) Tezak, James (Debbie), Marian (Scott) Andersen, and Sheri. Florence "Flo" and "Al" were married sixty-four years and have thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Cottonwood Sixth Ward Chapel, 4930 South West Moor Road, Holladay. A viewing will be held at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street (100 East), Murray, on Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday.
Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
