Peggy Wynn (Knopp) Lahey, 81, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at her daughter's home in Gwynneville.

She was born November 19, 1934 in Blue River Township, Hancock County, the daughter of Luther and Mary (Andis) Knopp.

She married George Lahey in 1997, and he survives.

Peggy is also survived by her daughter, Teresa Carlton of Gwynneville; sons, Kenny Carlton and Kevin Carlton and wife, Robin, both of Gwynneville; step-son, George Lahey Jr. of Shelbyville; daughter-in-law, Connie Carlton of Morristown; brothers, Bobby Knopp and wife, Charlene, of Shelbyville, Billy Knopp of Manilla, and Volney "Smokey" Knopp of Leavenworth; sisters, Patsy Martin of Danville, Illinois and Carol Sue Jackson and husband, Ed, of Knightstown; grandchildren, Kenneth, Kevin, Rachael, Heather, Jeremy, Chad, Tyler, Joshua, Ashley, Charles, Lesley, Jade, Avey and Olivia; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Robert Elmer Carlton; brother, James Knopp; half-brothers, Donald Knopp and Ray Knopp; and also half-sister, Evelyn Spencer.

Peggy graduated from Morristown High School in 1953 and was a graduate of Famous Artist School of Westport, CT.

She was a member of Morristown Christian Church.

Peggy was an artist and hairdresser. She was formerly an insurance agent with Commonwealth Insurance Company in Shelbyville.

She loved art, the time spent with her grandchildren and family. She also enjoyed shopping.
