He is the son of Dempsey and the late Eunice Barnett, born March 9, 1954. He attended Lakeview High School.
Phillip was employed for many years in the transportation industry as a driver and long distance independent operator. He was baptized into the Baptist faith at a young age and has now entered into that sweet peace. He will be sorely missed.
Phillip is survived by his father, Dempsey H Barnett, and brother, Victor T. (Hally) Barnett, Ringgold, and many aunts and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday, at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Mason officiating. Interment will be in Burning Bush Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm Tuesday at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
