Winona Caulita Johnson Dill, a well-loved, long-time resident of Brunswick and Saint Simons Island passed peacefully on Saturday, November 8, 2014 in Marietta, Georgia at the age of 105.

Ms. Dill was born in Pearson, GA on February 16, 1909. She moved at a young age with her family to Brunswick; where she was courted by and later married Eugene Steed Dill, November 10th, 1929, who preceded her in death in 1971. Also preceding her in death were her two siblings; Foster Leonidas Johnson and Hazel Corinne Johnson; and her beloved daughter; Jean Dill Bellinger.

She was a long time employee of Gilbert Harrell Law Firm, where she worked well into her eighties.
She was a faithful member of St. Simons United Methodist Church. She enjoyed hosting her bridge club, swimming, traveling, and gardening. She was the longest serving secretary for the Daughters of the American Revolution in the State of Georgia.

She is survived by her grandchildren; Charles Augustus Hodges III, William Alexander Hodges, and Winona Anne Hodges Green; and her great grandchildren; Melvin Nelson Levers, Caitlin Anne Hodges, Alexandra Michele Hodges, Charlotte Elizabeth-Michelle Hodges, and Teresa Grace Hodges.

The family will be celebrating her life with a service held in the Chapel at St .Simons United Methodist Church on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 11 a.m.; Reverend Marcia Cochran will officiate. There will be a reception on site following the service. Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
