Marvin Geiselhart, 91, of Halstad, MN, died on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at the Sanford Hospital, Hillsboro, ND.

Marvin was born on November 30, 1924, at the family farm south of Blue Earth, MN, to Cecil and Mabel (Bittle) Geiselhart. His family moved to Ada, MN area in 1928, where they farmed. Marvin attended Country School near his home. The Geiselhart family frequently hosted gatherings with music and dancing. 

On February 20, 1948, Marvin was united in marriage to Marjorie (Bibsy) Waite in Hendrum, MN. They built their home and raised their four children in Halstad, MN. Marvin worked as a journeyman/foremen for the Red River Valley Cooperative Power Association for 37 years.

Marvin was a member of Halstad Lutheran Church and served as trustee on the church council for several years. Marvin was an active member of the volunteer fire department, including a term as Chief. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, shooting pool and playing cards with his siblings and friends. In their early retirement years, Marvin and Marj enjoyed many bus tours.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Marjorie; a son, Larry (LeeAnn) Geiselhart, three daughters, Beverly (Jeff) Voigt, Susan (Bill) Finkle, and Kathy (Stewart) Robley; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Mae Sand, Jack, Maurice, Marie Vilmo, and Don; and a nephew, Vernon Sand.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at 11 am in the Halstad Lutheran Church, Halstad, MN.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 18, 2016, from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 PM, in the Fredrikson-Ganje Funeral Home, Halstad, MN.

Burial will be in the South Halstad Cemetery, Halstad, MN.
