Died, at Olathe, Kansas, at the home of her daughter, M. M. Newby, Mary Macy. She was born in Blount County, Tennessee, January 5, 1812, and died May 1, 1893. She was the wife of Alvah J. Macy and daughter of Thomas and Ann Lewis. She removed with her husband soon after their marriage to Wayne county, Indiana, where they remained until the death of her husband in 1852, when she was left a widow with ten children, seven of whom survive her. She went to Kansas about twelve years ago to make her home with her youngest daughter, Mrs. Newby. She was of a meek and quiet disposition and beloved by all.
