Winnifred graduated from Freedom Academy, where she enjoyed playing on the basketball team. She also attended dietician normal school in Springvale, ME, and completed beauty school in Lewiston, ME.
She owned and operated a beauty shop in Thorndike, ME, and Winnie's Beauty Shop in South China, ME for 37 years.
Winnifred was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a very strong and devoted Christian and was a very hard working woman. She was a beautiful singer and also played the piano and steel guitar. Winnifred loved her pets and enjoyed her sweets as well.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her three husbands, Harold Winship, Walter Cooper, and Arthur Paul Hall; her infant son, Nicholas Wendell Winship; and her brother, Stanley McCorrison and his wife, Geneva.
Winnifred will be sadly missed by her daughters, Cheryl Vinton and her husband, Richard of Winthrop, ME, and Lucille Plummer and her special friend, Duane Mahon of South China, ME; her grandchildren, Katrina Bouthot, and great grandson Bradley; Kendall McLain, and great grandchildren Liam and Gracie; Kami McLain, and great granddaughter Brooke; Tasha Cotoia and her husband, Cory; Nick Plummer and his wife, Cherrie, and great granddaughter Sydni; Todd Plummer; Wade Plummer and his wife, Liz, and great grandchildren Wesley and Lena; and Chad Plummer and his wife, Kara and great grandchildren Jenna and Zachary; several step grandchildren, and step great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
