He was born October 20, 1932 in Louisville to the late Frank A. and Viola Beatrice (Wagner) Stettenbenz. He was retired from Louisville Fire Dept. after 28 years of service as a custodian and of the Baptist Faith.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Virginia Cline, Vivian Cheshire, Dorothy Newman; brothers, Frank Jr., Norvin and Raymond Stettenbenz.

Family includes many nieces and nephews and a host of family.

Funeral services 1 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2012 at Neurath-Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 1832 W. Market St., with burial in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Muscular Dystrophy Association on behalf of the Louisville Fire Department.
