Merlinda was born August 9, 1941, in Pintada, NM to Venceslao Mondragon and Marianita Garcia Mondragon. She married Raymond Sena August 9, 1958, in Clovis, NM. She worked as a cook at Marshall Junior High. Merlinda was a member for Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Lady Sertoma Club, served as past president, and AmVets Lady Auxilary, served as past president.
Survivors include her two sons, Danny Sena and Randy Sena; daughter, Cathy Sena; eight siblings, Fulgencia Chavez, Flo (Joe) de la Garza, Vera (Mike) Barela, Donna Padilla, Mary Bowers, Christine (Robert) Garcia, Eddie Mondragon, and Leroy Mondragon; eight grandchildren, David Saiz, Eddie Sena, Jon Montoya, Nathan Sena, Elizabeth Carrillo, Samantha Sena, Alysia Miller, and Erika Sena; and eight great-grandchildren, Michael Encinias, Amaya Encinias, Aliyah Encinias, Matthew Encinias, Karson Miller, Nicholas Sena, Selena Peralez, and Nicole Saiz.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Sena; parents, Venceslao and Marianita Mondragon; son, Raymond John Sena; and two sisters, Theresa Cortez and Odilia Dominguez.
