Mrs. Gladys Gertrude Allen, 53, of 1839 W. Main st., died Saturday morning at the University of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia. She had been a patient at the hospital since Sept. 29. Mrs. Allen was born Oct. 16, 1912 at Russellville, the daughter of John and Jessie Lane DeFoe.
She attended public schools at Sedalia and Jefferson City. She was married Jan. 1, 1932 at California to T.E. (Jack) Allen, who survives.
Mrs. Allen had been employed at the Sykes Electric Company for the last 26 years at the time of her death.
One brother, Roy DeFoe, of Sedalia, also survives.
Services will be held Monday. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
