Mrs. Susie Crist
Dies At Age 88
Services Held Tuesday
For Long Time Resident
Mrs. Susie Ann Crist, 88 year old resident if Clarke county for most of her life, died Sunday at the Clarke county hospital.
Funeral services were held this Tuesday afternoon at the Webster Funeral Home with Rev. Warren Hile, pastor of the Osceola Christian church officiating. Burial was in the Hebron cemetery in Clarke county.
The daughter of Jesse and Amanda Shepherd Mackey, she was born January 13, 1872 in Lucas county. Mrs. Crist was a member of the Christian church and had been a resident of Clarke county for the past 65 years.
On July 27, 1890, she became the bride of Wilbur A. Crist and they were the parents of three children. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Hazel Wilson of Osceola; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jeanette Crist of Osceola; son-in-law, H. E. Wilson of Osceola; two granddaughters, Mrs. Florence Tillotson of Rockford, Ill., and Ruth Mason of Osceola; five great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Nellie Alice, one son, Lawrence; three granddaughters, five brothers and one sister.
