Thomas Jay Swomley, 63, of McKeesport, died Monday, April 30, 2007, at the VA Oakland Medical Center. Born Aug. 28, 1943, in Lisbon, Iowa, a son of the late Nealy Milton and Ila Mae (Burr) Swomley. A customer service representative for Mellon Bank, he was a U.S. Army Vietnam Era veteran, a member of the 11th Ward Club in McKeesport and the McKeesport American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Veronica (Bozga) Swomley; daughter, Karen Warman, of McKeesport; a son, Mark Allan Swomley, of Pittsburgh; a grandson, Michael Warman, of McKeesport; and brothers, Richard (Eileen) Swomley, of Colorado, and James and David Swomley, both of New Jersey. Also survived by nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Target. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the JAYCOX-JAWORSKI FUNERAL HOME INC., 2703 O'Neil Blvd., McKeesport, PA 15132, where a blessing service will be 10 a.m. Friday with Father Matthew Elanjileth officiating.
