His obituary is found in the Monmouth Review of 20 May 1939. Seaton, 19 May - Dr. T.C. Hainline passed away at his home in Seaton about 3:45 o'clock after a brief illness. Death resulted from injuries suffered ten days ago when he fell and fractured his left hip. He had grown weaker each day since until his death. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the Seaton Presbyterian church with Mr. John Lugg of Monmouth in charge. Interment will be made in Norwood cemetery. Dr. Hainline was born and reared on a farm near Blandinsville, Illinois. He was married to Miss Lou Elliot of Lexington, Kentucky 17 December 1879 and they continued on the farm for 18 years, the latter part of which the deceased took his medical training at Keokuck, Iowa Medical School and after his graduation, the family moved to Stronghurst where he practiced a year. Learning that Seaton was in need of a doctor, Dr. Hainline moved his family here in 1898 and he served the community here over 40 years, retiring a few years ago when his health began to fail. Mrs. Hainline died in October 1933. The couple had a pleasant celebration four years before honoring their 50th wedding anniversary at which time hundreds of their friends from this county and others were their guests. Three of his children also preceded him in death. they were Mrs. G.E. Amy of Seaton, Mrs. Frank Robb of Seaton and Dr. Elliot Hainline, a dentist who had been in Rock Island most of his years. Surviving are the following, Mrs. Glenn McIntire of Watson, Saskatoon, Canada, Mrs. J.E. Berg, who moved with her family from Aledo last week to take care of her father and Mrs. Thomas Jellinger of Monmouth and Dr. F.A. Hainline of Rock Island. There are also a brother and sister, W.R. Hainline of Blandinsville and Mrs. Belle Rice of Macomb. There are twenty six grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.
He is found in the Hoover Funeral Home records. He was the widower of Lou Elliott and died at age 81 years, 1 month and 7 days. He was the son of William Hainline born in Illinois and Sarah ElizabethLogan also born in Illinois. He was buried in the Norwood cemetery 21 May 1939
