Luke Miller Abbott Age 12 of Rock Hall, MD passed away February 3, 2004 under the loving care of his family and nurses.
He was born June 17, 1991 in Salisbury.
He resided in Deal Island for a few years prior to moving to Rock Hall.
Luke loved his family, friends and nurses.
He loved to be held and loved.
Luke enjoyed bright colors, trips to the A.I. duPont Hospital for Children, where he met and helped many children and made many friends, watching his brother and sister, and cartoons.
He attended Garnett Elementary School.
He was the son of Edgar Allen Abbott and his wife, Lori, of Deal Island and Sheila Strong Pierce and her husband, Brian, of Rock Hall.
He was the brother of Brody Pierce and Brianna Pierce, both of Rock Hall and Jason Abbott and Edgar Abbott, Jr., both of Deal Island.
He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Buffalo and Betty Ann Strong of Rock Hall; paternal grandmother, Miriam Abbott of Deal Island; maternal great grandparents, James and Ann Jacquette and Jane Strong, all of Rock Hall; and a nephew, Shane Abbott of Deal Island.
There was a funeral service at 2 pm on Thursday, February 5, at the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, where relatives and friends were able to call from 12-2.
Interment was in St. Paul's Cemetery near Chestertown.
