Adeline Anges was born in Crosby, Texas. She passed away peacefully in League City, Texas with her children by her side.
Adeline is survived by her children, John Anges, Patti Montes, and Anne LeBoy, their father, Sidney Anges, their spouses, Elizabeth Anges, Isaac Montes, and David LeBoy, her grandchildren, John and Julianna Anges, Taylor and Sidney Wharton, and Charles, Luke, and Neil LeBoy. She is also survived by her siblings, Dolores Stasney, Rosemary Clement, Theresa Hartman, Tommy Michalsky, Anthony Michalsky, and their spouses and families. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ignatz and Antonia Michalsky, her sister, Marylou Stasney, and her brother, Gerald Michalsky.
After growing up in Crosby, Adeline graduated from St. Mary's Nursing School in Galveston, Texas, and later became a certified pediatric nurse practitioner. She retired from the Galveston Independent School district where she served for many years as a school nurse.
Adeline lived in Houston, San Antonio, and San Francisco before settling in Galveston in the early 1970s. She was very active in the Holy Family Catholic parish and she made many friends at St. Patrick Catholic Church where she volunteered and sang in the choir. She also volunteered for several years at the 1894 Grand Opera House. Adeline loved to travel and she visited many places all over the world. She was a great cook and an avid walker and jogger.
A Rosary and memorial Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 21, 2015 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Galveston with a reception following in the church hall. Visitation will be held prior to the Rosary beginning at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Family Parish in Galveston, 1010 35th Street, Galveston, Texas 77550.
