He was born at Three Links in Rockcastle County, KY on January 2, 1951 the son of Andrew J. and Delphia Vanzant Cox. He was a truck driver and an ordained minister working with the prison population. He attended Church on the Rock, Maple Grove Baptist Church, and Brodhead Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and horseback riding.
He is survived by his children, Cody Robert Cox and wife Chloe, and Tara White and husband Mark; his mother, Delphia Cox; and his grandchildren, Kai and Ayn Cox, and Teagan and Kaelyn White. He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Robert Cox; and a sister, Juanita Robinson.
