Mrs. Bitha Jane Hubbard, 79, of Rockville died Sunday, Jan. 23, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, Rockville. She was the wife of the late Claude A. Hubbard.

Born Feb. 2, 1920, in Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Arlen and Minnie Gibson.

She is survived by five daughters, Carlene Shrader of Falling Waters, W.Va., Betty Asbury of Rockville, Shelby Givan of Monrovia, Ind., Eudenia Leslie of Mount Airy, and Charlotte Ross of Salina, Okla.; two sons, Gerald Hubbard and Douglas Hubbard, both of Rockville; two brothers; three sisters; 22 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, at Pumphrey's Funeral Home, 300 W. Montgomery Ave., Rockville.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, Jan. 26, at 1 p.m. The Rev. Lynn Smith will officiate.

Interment will be in Parklawn Memorial Park, Rockville.
