Rosetta Petty, of Rogers, Texas, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away on April 6, 2016. Rosetta slipped from this earthly presence and promptly met her savior, Jesus Christ, along with a multitude of many friends who had been waiting for her to join them in the heavenly realm.

Rosetta was born on March 28, 1932 in Val Verde, Texas to Mr. Claude and Rosa Lee Ralston (Thompson) who preceded her in death along with her brothers, Cecil Ralston, John Ralston, Claude Ralston, Jr., and sisters, Catherine Kirkpatrick and Thelma Lee Sanderson. She is survived by brothers Marvin Ralston and Carl Ralston and sister Doris Law.

Rosetta worked at a number of places and was known for her generous spirit. Her caring heart and passion for helping others was evident. Her ability to make people laugh, her smile and dry sense of humor were a part of her personality that those who knew her appreciated.

She married Thomas Mathew Petty on December 9, 1950. They celebrated over 46 years together before his passing in 1996. Rosetta and Tommy had four children. Leon Thomas Petty (deceased), Jean Ann Inglis of Belton, TX, Linda (Lin) Wrinkle-McGuire and husband Dr. Mac McGuire of Georgetown, TX, and James (Jimmy) Claude Petty and wife Tammy of Rogers, Texas.

Rosetta loved spending time with her children, 15 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Family visitation will be from 5:30PM – 7:30 PM on Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, Temple, Texas with a memorial service on Saturday, April 9, 2016 beginning 10:30 AM at the First Baptist Church, Rogers, Texas. Burial will be at the Val Verde Cemetery.
