Dr. William J.H. Sisson, a prominent dentist with offices in Oak Park and a longtime resident of Forest Park, passed away May 2 at Oak Park Hospital after a brief illness. He was 69.
Dr. Sisson played a leading role in the Veterans of Foreign Wars, serving as past commander of VFW Memorial Post #7181 in Forest Park and past commander of the 4th District VFW. He was also past Seam Squirrel of Pup Tent #65, Military Order of the Cooties.
In professional circles, he was a member of the American Dental Association; past president off the Illinois State Dental Society; past president of the West Suburban Branch, Chicago Dental Society; a member of the Loyola University School of Dentistry Alumnae Association; and a member of the Fellowship of the American College of Dentists.
He was also a member of the Medinah Temple West Suburban Shrine Club.
