Pauline Romaine "Peggy" (Lentz) Altland, 88, died Monday, April 4, 2016, at her residence following a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Earl T. Altland.
Born December 1, 1927, in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Mammie A. (Goodwin) Lentz.
Peggy loved wood crafting, red hats, playing cards, her grandkids, eating out, dinner shows, and her four-legged kids.
She is survived by her children, Sharon Leber and her husband, David "Skip" of York, Kimberly Sheesley of Manchester, Daniel Boyer and his wife Deb, and Gregory Baublitz and his wife Deb of York.
She is also survived by a stepdaughter, Sandra Baublitz of Red Lion; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Peggy was preceded in death by a son, David E. Boyer; two previous husbands, Warren M. Baublitz and Elwood E. Boyer; and a companion, Larry Frey.
Following cremation, a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA of York County, 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406.
The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of Hospice and Community Care of York and the doctors and nurses at York Hospital for the care and compassion extended to Peggy during her illness.
