Per Pennsylvania Marriage License, on Jan 24 1906 in Siverly, PA, Charles A. Brown of East Sandy, clerk, 29, son of Daniel A. and Matilda J. Brown, married Emma L. Ziegler of Maple Shade, PA, 33, daughter of Fisher and Amanda Ziegler; first married for both.

Charles A. Brown, 74, of 104 Glenview Avenue, died suddenly at 9 pm Thursday in his home. Son of Daniel A. and Matilda Jane Brown, he was born Feb. 10, 1876, in Maple Shade.

He moved to Siverly in 1902 and lived there since. He worked for Oil Well Supply Co. for 42 years until retiring Sept. 9, 1945. For a number of years he served as custodian of Bethel Methodist Church, and was forced to leave this post earlier this month, due to failing health. A devout member of the church, he was a member of the Men's Bible Class, and had served as a trustee and member of the official board.

On Jan. 24, 1906 in Oil City, he married Emma L. Ziegler, and she survives, with a daughter, Carol Ann Whitehouse; a brother, Frank H. Brown of Franklin; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Steele of Lowville, Mrs. Edith Boyer of Brookville, Mrs. Myrtle Roberts of Oil City, and Mrs. Etta Perry of Cranberry.
