Mrs. Cora B. Abston, 81, of 34 Woodhaven Court, died at 12:15pm Sunday at Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for two weeks.

Mrs. Abston was born in Coldwater, Miss., December 22, 1888, and was a daughter of the late Robert M and Mattie J. Burford, nee Payton. She married Eugene W. Abston in Johnson County, Ark., in 1906. He died May 28, 1950.

Surviving are five children: H. E. Abston, Nashville, Tenn.; Ann, wife of Jack Schmittling, 34 Woodhaven Court; Cojeanne, wife of Vincent T. Schuhart, 913 Clearview Drive; Margie, wife of Earl Reichling, 410 South 21st Street and Pat, wife of Stanley Beyer, 411 South 21st Street; and five grandchildren. A son, Dave Bob; a daughter, Rachael; a sister and two brothers preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the First Christian Church.

The funeral will be held at 2:30pm Tuesday from George Renner and Sons Funeral Home to Walnut Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Howard Thomure, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2pm Monday.
