The life of Helen Attalla is celebrated by her family, friends, and faith communities. Her passing occurred Tuesday at 1:40 a.m., where she joined her mother and father, Toofey and Barbara Saman Jebber, her beloved husband and son, Robert Amil Attalla, Sr. and Dean Allen Attalla.

Helen lived most of her life in Akron, Ohio where she and her husband raised their children, Deborah Glover, Robert Attalla, Nicholas Attalla, Barbara Newman, and Dean Attalla in the neighborhoods surrounding Garth Avenue. Her faith community of St. Joseph Melkite Church in Akron was a central part of her life, and the extended family connections made in the old neighborhoods of Taylor Street became an integral part of her family's life in Akron.

In 1998, Helen moved to Burlington, Kentucky where she touched the lives of still more people through her volunteer work and deep commitment to her faith, family, friends through the parishes of St. Timothy in Union, Kentucky and Immaculate Heart of Mary in Burlington, Kentucky.

Helen's life has been blessed with 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and brother, Abe Jebber.

Celebration services will be held at St. Joseph Melkite Church, W. Exchange St., Akron, Ohio on Saturday, August 18, 2012 . A celebration ceremony will begin immediately following the service, with the burial at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorial services will be announced at a later time for faith families in Northern Kentucky.

Helen's life was about hospitality and nurturing. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made to Haven of Rest Ministries,
