William E. Barnicle, 75 of Natick died Thursday, October 1st, 2015 at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He was the beloved husband of Mary Ann (Souza) Barnicle.
Born in Natick and a lifelong resident he was the son of the late William F. and Doris M. (Malone) Barnicle.

Mr. Barnicle retired as the Maintenance Supervisor for the Town of Natick Housing Authority where he worked for 24 years. Bill was dedicated to his job and took pride in helping the residents of Cedar Gardens keeping their apartments in good working order.

He previously was an excellent mechanic at Abe’s Gas station in Downtown Natick for 15 years.

Bill enjoyed golf, had a good sense of humor which he readily shared with his family and friends.

He was proud to be a Friend of Bill W for 41 years. Most important in his life was his family who he cherished, especially the time he spent with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Deborah L. Cormier and her husband Marc of Sudbury, Michael E. Barnicle of Natick, William Villani, Denise Villani and Tammy Villani all of Enfield, CT, his siblings Thomas Barnicle of FL, John Barnicle of Natick, Ellie Demma of Ashland, James Barnicle of Framingham, Joyce Trotta of Ashland, Charles Barnicle of Framingham, Raymond Barnicle of Natick, two grandchildren Jayden and Ava Cormier, and many nieces and nephews.

He was also the brother of the late Richard Barnicle, Marjorie Egan and Maxine Shaw.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday, October 7th, at 9:00 A.M from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick’s Church at 10:00 A.M. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
