Mrs Clara McFarland, 91, of 711 S 27th street, died at 5:45 a.m. Friday in St Elizabeth Hospital. She had been in ill health three months. A native and lifelong resident of Lafayette, she worked at General Telephone Co. for 25 years, retiring in 1957. She was married here in 1918 to Henry "Mac" McFarland, who preceded her in death. Mrs McFarland was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and Radiant Class of the church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs William A (Janet) Hicks of Lafayette and Mrs Russell (Marie Van Hook) Donnelly of Stockwell. ( Lafayette, Indiana Journal & Courier)
