**Lewis appears on the 1850 census, it says b. 1842
1860-1870 census say he was born abt. 1843
1880 census says he was born abt. 1841
**Lewis's son James was the informant on death certificate. He apparently didn't know his father's birth year.

ROSSTON.
This seems to be a very sensational time between man and wife in this part of the county. Lewis Abbitt and wife and George Kiser and wife have quit partnership business, and another man is guarding his wife day and night with a shotgun. (The Lebanon Pioneer - Thurs., July 17, 1890, pg. 5)
