HAMILTON - Frank G. Luedecke, 90, of Hamilton, passed away Friday, June 2, 2006 at Valley View Estates. He was born July 21, 1915 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.

Frank traveled to Montana as a young boy with his family. He rode in the back of a truck on the way and the trip took 10 hard days. Frank worked for a lot of farmers and in the apples as a young man. He met and married Helen Weippert in 1941. Frank was an avid logger and trapper. He retired as a mill wright in 1977 from L.A. Hamilton in Missoula where Southgate Mall now stands.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Helen, of Hamilton; daughters, Rosemary Baier and husband Kenneth, of Missoula, Martha Nielsen and husband Doug, of Corvallis, and Barbara Buckallew, of Corvallis; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a sister and son David.

We will miss the sparkle in his eyes but at last he is at peace. Services for Frank will be held on Friday, June 9, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Daly-Leach Chapel with a reception following in the community room. Burial will take place following the reception at the Corvallis Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of the Daly-Leach Chapel.
