Emma Cecilia Larsen, 87 of Grand Island, formerly of Ord, died Sunday Aug.24,2003 at Lakeside Nursing Center in Grand Island.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. at the Ord Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Mike Chase will officiate.
Burial will be in the Ord City Cemetery.

Miss Larsen was born Oct 21, 1915 in Garfield County to Lewis S and Christine (Jensen) Larsen. Survivors include numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents & 2 brothers, Alfred and Oscar.

Miss Larsen attended rural school at Haskell Creek Dist # 45 and was a 1934 graduate of Ord High School. She resided in the Haskell Creek area until 1943.
During WW II she worked at the ordinance plant in Grand Island. From 1945 to 1948 she worked as a nurses aide at the St Francis Medical Center. She worked at Lutheran Hospital form 1948 to 1981. In 1956 she became a licensed practical nurse. Miss Larsen was a member of the Christian Church in Grand Island, where she was involved in church circles. She was also a member of the First Christian
Church Women United. '
