Mrs Ruby Hazel Goddard, 71, Richards, died at 12:40 this morning in the Cedar County Memorial Hospital, El Dorado Springs, Missouri.

She was born November 15, 1896, at Harding, Kansas, the daughter of Leroy Evans and Ida Mae Jewell Evans.

November 15, 1915, she married Earnest Goddard in Fort Scott. The couple moved to Richards where Mrs Goddard has lived since. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 13, 1946.

Nine children survive. They are Belva Mae Goddard, Donald T Goddard, and William Goddard of the home, Francis I Goddard of Nevada; Ernest E Goddard of Richards; Mrs Fred (Maxine) Burnett, Fort Scott; Mrs Ralph (Dorothy) Anderson, Redfield; Joe Gorrard (sic) of Clinton, Missouri, and Mrs Orvile (sic) (Joan) Cook of Lecompton, Kansas.

There are seventeen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, Ray Evans of Fort Scott, and Merle Evans of Eugene, Oregon also survive.

Mrs Goddard was a member of the Richards Christian Church.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 pm in Cheney's Memorial Chapel. Interment will be in the Richland Cemetery, Richards.
