William Frank Armstrong Jr., 92, of Palestine, Texas died October 7, 2006, in the David E. Foster Hospice Unit at Palestine Regional Medical Center. Burial in Holly Springs Cemetery was under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home. He was born October 8, 1913 in Hunstville, Alabama to William Frank Armstrong and Mattie Belle Mason Armstrong.
Mr. Armstrong was a member of Grace Baptist Church and before retiring, he was an agent for Red Ball Motor Freight and later owned and operated Armstrong Trucking and Construction. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wilma Hurbrough who died December 1981; children, Hellen Armstrong, and Billy Floyd Armstrong; and brothers, Leonard Armstrong, Edward Armstrong, A.B. Armstrong, and Clyde Armstrong. Mr. Armstrong is survived by son and daughter-in-law, John Frank and Martha Armstrong of Buffalo; grandsons, Todd Armstrong and wife Shellie of Huntsville, Kendall Armstrong of Shady Side, Md., and Jason Morman of Sallisaw, Okla.; granddaughters, Rebecca Boyd and husband Russell of Buffalo, and Leslie Morman of Buffalo; great-grandchildren, Kylen Armstrong, Jaelyn Dawn and Reese Boyd, Colton Morman, and Taryn Morman, Jacquelyne Armstrong; brother, A.J. Armstrong of Palestine; sisters, Effie Walding, and Etta Belle Guthrie, both of Palestine.
