George E. Chapman was the son of Frank and May Ennis Chapman. He served in the Navy for 26 yrs and retired as an E6. He served during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. After his military service, he was employed at D&M in Connersville for 17 years. George enjoyed camping and traveling.

He was a member of the Connersville Baptist Temple, the American Legion, VFW, the Moose and the Eagles.

He is survived by his wife Joann Martinez Hill whom he married June 6, 2006 in Connersville. He is also survived by a son and daughter in law, three step sons and families, one step daughter and family. one granddaughter and one great granddaughter as well as several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

He was preced in death by his parents, a stepson Larry J. Hill Jr. and his brother Frank "Robert" Chapman. Services were at Urban-Winkler Funeral home and burial was with military honors.
