Betty Elizabeth Adams, 87, of Beckville, Texas met her Heavenly Father face to face on April 4, 2016, and was reunited with many family members and friends who have predeceased her. Ms. Adams was born on April 19, 1928, to Alton and Cordie Adams in Charlotte, Tennessee. Ms. Adams’ childhood and teenage years were spent in Gallatin, Tennessee where she lived with her family and later met her husband, Doyle S. Adams, while he was serving his country in the army. They were married on December 27, 1945 in Franklin, Kentucky and made their home and raised their family in Beckville. Mr. Adams preceded her in death on March 7, 1983.

Ms. Adams was a very classy and unique woman. She loved her Lord, her family, and her friends, and she was a devoted prayer warrior. She taught her family the importance of the Lord, faith, and how to pray. She was a member of Pine Grove Assembly Church and Beckville Eastern Stars in Beckville. Ms. Adams enjoyed tending to her roses, watching hummingbirds, reading the Bible, watching the Gaithers, spending time with her family, preparing homemade meals, and traveling to Tennessee to visit her family. A devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, nothing compared to the love she had for her family. Ms. Adams is the epitome of Proverbs 25-31.

Ms. Adams was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Billy Adams of Gallatin, Tennessee and Daniel Adams of Indianapolis, Indiana, and great-grandson, Gavin Kane Allred of Fairplay.

Those left to cherish her memory and left with the special part of her that now lives in each of them are her daughter and caregiver, Linda Harris and husband, Ronny of Fairplay; son, Roger Adams and wife, Mary Ann of Cayuga; grandchildren, Michelle Allred and husband Daniel of Fairplay, Michael Harris and wife Jennifer of Fairplay, Stacia Burch and husband David of Whitehouse, and Davey Adams and wife Susan of Whitehouse; great-grandchildren, Braxdan Allred of Fairplay, Wesdon and Hadley Harris of Fairplay, Gracie Burch of Whitehouse, and Colleen and Eli Adams of Whitehouse; and sister, Margaret Wiseman of Gallatin, Tennessee.

In addition to her family, Ms. Adams is survived by life-long family friend, James Williams, of Beckville and Janice Gates and Tish Williams of Carthage, her dedicated caregivers and special friends who she cherished.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2016, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jackie Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park.
