RACHEL KING
Mrs. RACHEL KING, 93, an area resident 52 years, died this morning
in a local hospital. She was the widow of the late HARRY KING.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bettes Chapel. Burial will
be beside the body of her late husband in Newport, Okla. Cemetery.
An Ardmore resident 30 years, she had lived in a rest home for the
last three years. She had been ill only a short time.
Born August 29, 1866 in Joplin, Mo. She lived around Lone Grove and
the Newport community until 1930 when her husband died. She was a member
of the Free Will Baptist Church of Lone Grove.
Surviving are two sons, EARL and LANNIE, both of Newport; two
brothers, LIGE and SIMON MASSEY both of Ada; four grandchildren and seven
great-grandchildren.
