UNION - Inez Gist Bolick, 96, of 1109 W. Main St. died May 27, 1999, in Wallace Thomson Hospital.

An native of Jonesville, she was the widow of Henry Pearson Bolick Sr. and daughter of the late David Christopher Gist Sr. and Sallie Addie Palmer Gist and granddaughter of the late Gov. William H. Gist.

She was a member of Duncan Acres United Methodist Church. She was formerly employed as a nurses' assistant with Wallace Thomson Hospital, retiring at the age of 82.

Surviving are a daughter, Judith Ann Sparks of San Antonio, Texas; a son, Robert Gist "Bob" Bolick of Union; two sisters, Vinnie G. West of West Springs and Eloise G. Lancaster of Buffalo; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Duncan Acres United Methodist Church, conducted by the Revs. David Brown and Larry Hyder. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m.

S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home of Union is in charge of arrangements.
