Funeral services for John Ira Sexton, 81, of Haughton were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Sexton Memorial Church of Shongaloo with burial under the direction of Green-Kleinegger Funeral home in the Pilgrim Rest Cemetery near Shongaloo. The Rev. Paul Cassels officiating at the services.
Mr. Sexton, who died Thursday in a Shreveport hospital, is survived by his wife of Haughton; two sons, Dewey Sexton of Haughton and Truman Sexton of Agua Dulco, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. J.A. Phillips of Bossier City; one brother, Frank Sexton of Sarepta; two sisters, Mrs. Tom Fomby of Shongaloo and Mrs. Alice Thomas of Humble, Texas; and three grandchildren.
