Mr. Duncan moved his family from Wylie to Roscoe in 1910. One son Marion Truett was born at Roscoe. He was attracted to the Roscoe country because of the good land, water, and health of the people. Mr. Duncan bought his first farm here in 1910 3 miles southwest of Roscoe and on which he made his family home. Mr. Duncan owned several farms nearby and engaged in farming and stock raising. He owned well selected horses and mules and Jersey cattle. He was a deacon in the Missionary Baptist Church and supported in a financial way programs that were for the good of the community. Mr. Duncan died April 3, 1945 at the age of 78.
