He was born March 26, 1930 in Upper Black Eddy, a son of the late Stephen and Minnie Moninghoff Breiner.
For about 25 years, Al worked as a supervisor for Penn Engineering in Danboro, retiring in 1985. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Riegelsville.
Al was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the N.R.A. He was the family handyman who could fix or build anything and he enjoyed being with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He will be missed by his wife, Irene, of 65 years. Also surviving are his five children, and their spouses, Thomas and Barbara Breiner, Edward and Nancy Breiner, Linda and Michael Graziano, Margaret and Dennis Trouts and Richard and Florence Breiner; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; and two sisters, Rita Haney and Eileen Esser. He was preceded in death by his brother, James.
A celebration of his life will be held 11 a.m. Monday, April 4, in the Robert W. Snyder Funeral Home, 327 Easton Rd., Riegelsville. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment to ashes will be in the Riegelsville Union Cemetery.
