MRS. STEWART, 88, DIES AT SWEETWATER

Sweetwater, Oct. 31 - Mrs. B. C. Stewart, 88, died at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Sweetwater Hospital after a short illness.

She was born Dee Jane Cox on Jan. 20, 1865 in Lampasas. She was married to Mr. Stewart on Aug. 12, 1883 in Williamson County. The couple moved to Divide in 1896 and later moved to Sweetwater in 1939.

Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Fourth and Elm Street Church of Christ with the minister, J. T. Marlin, officiating. Burial will be in Hylton Cemetery under direction of Patterson Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mrs. H. M. Taylor of Sweetwater, Mrs. C. J. Ake, Sr. of Havana, Ark., and Mrs. T. D. Owen of Duncan, Okla.; one son, O. A. Stewart of Bellville, Ark.; one sister, Mrs. H. M. Howell of Eden; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
