THE LAMAR ECHO, Thu., Oct., 4, 1979: 'Mrs. W. R. Wood, 87, of 10414 Eddy Stone, Houston, formerly of Paris, died at her home on Wednesday, September 26, 1979. Graveside services were held Friday afternoon in Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Felix Keys, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Paris, officiating. Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home was [in] charge of arrangements.
Jane Connor Wood was born in Paris June 21, 1892, daughter of Eggleston Seymour Connon and Judith Ella Conner. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. R. Wood Jr., twelve years ago, and by her eldest daughter. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Houston.
Survivors include two daughters, Erma Ann Wood of Houston and Mary W. Bride of Austin; two sisters, Mrs. J. H. Johnston of Corpus Christi and Mrs. J. R. Gibbons of Austin; and two grandsons.
